Volunteer Opportunities
The Guild flourishes because of its active and enthusiastic members. Here are some of the ways you can get involved and help keep the Guild successful and vibrant.
Youth Concerts
We offer our
support for music in the schools by escorting APS fourth and fifth graders from
their buses for a New Mexico Philharmonic concert at Popejoy Hall. Check the Calendar of Events for current dates. Volunteers will be stationed along the
walking route from the soccer field, where the students are dropped off,
to the front doors of Popejoy, where the Popejoy ushers will take over
and direct them to their assigned seats. The first performance takes
place at 10:15 a.m. and the second at 12:15 p.m.. In addition to our "regulars," we hope new members will come out and join us. This is a great
opportunity to renew acquaintances as well as make new friends, AND see/hear a free concert. For more information and/or questions, contact Gale Rawlings.

Peter and the Wolf Program
The Peter and the Wolf program introduces first graders in the Albuquerque area to the instruments of the orchestra, and for many is the first - and sometimes only - experience they have with symphonic music. Docents are needed to be trained in presenting the program, and then to present the program on their own. Contact Karla Bressen or Gale Rawlings
